What kind of person.....

chooses to put this sticker on their car?

The vehicle was sitting near our ferry terminal for a couple of days this week.  Perhaps it belongs to the parents of this boy I saw at the beach a few weeks ago......

The target he was stalking and then pretended to shoot? This:

The parents' reaction? "Good job, son!"

How sad.  How very sad.  What a lost opportunity  for a parent to teach a child to appreciate the beauty in nature instead of its slaughter.  What a lost opportunity for a parent to help change the world.

Maybe an ex snuck it onto the car when they weren't looking?

What is just as bad, if not worse, is that somewhere, someone came up with that idea for a bumper sticker, produced it, and it is actually being sold.

How sad to see this..ugh..
Last winter I was walking my dogs near the RV park in Palm Springs..A gentleman came along with his two young children.the boy was about 8 and had a crossbow, the little girl was about 5 with a bow and arrow..I grabbed my dogs and just stood there..the boy was all excited..and he said to me..it is o-kay lady we already been out doing our huntin..the little girl said yeah I shot me some birds..the man had a smile as wide as could be and was soooooo proud..I thought I was going to vomit..and they were very close to many people and animals..It was an eye opener. Ugghhh! If I knew where that car was, I'd be soooo tempted to have a sticker made up quickly that read, "Real men, women and kids do NOT kill small animals, or put up stickers like this to simply be provacative", and attach it below it.

What a yahoo!

We see and read horrific happenings to every creature all the time. This is just one more reason it continues to happen.
I couldn't help it, I cried when I read this. This is mankind's next generation. Will it NEVER cease to be this way?!

That is sad. :( If it is *any* consolation, Acorn's dad grew up hunting in rural MN, but made a life-changing switch to nature photography when he realized that the thill/fun was the same—and what made him a good gun shooter was also what made him an extraordinary photo shooter. Someone needs to give this kid a camera!
