That was an error, likely due to trying to type with too little sleep and not enough coffee.

No, I have NOT adopted Lucy and will NOT be doing so - she is a highly adoptable young dog who will have no problem finding a great home once she is done with the pups.

I meant to say that perhaps she was not quite as far along as thought when I agreed to foster her.

Coffee....go get coffee.....Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08231007979360748217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4041437999194031830.post-32370164304479323882010-09-22T08:13:22.902-07:002010-09-22T08:13:22.902-07:00Interesting how 1 week ago she was a foster dog no...Interesting how 1 week ago she was a foster dog now you mention you adopted her...is this a case of foster failure? Apparently the ideal time is around day 28, about half way through the pregnancy.

Lucy does let me feel her belly and sides - in fact, she spends much of her time on her back at my feet, waiting for belly rubs! The puppies can be felt kicking and moving about - they were very active last night - so perhaps they have just moved sideways.

But I think they are just growing a lot. She might not have been quite as far along when I adopted her as the SPCA thought - guessing these sorts of things is always a bit of a crapshoot when one doesn't know the date she mated or even the possible range of dates she was in heat.

Just another good reason why people should spay/neuter their pets!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08231007979360748217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4041437999194031830.post-89417380741468799252010-09-22T06:22:28.021-07:002010-09-22T06:22:28.021-07:00Come out, come out, COME OUT!Come out, come out, COME OUT!EvenSonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02032555334605790413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4041437999194031830.post-63971313491088089682010-09-21T22:54:53.907-07:002010-09-21T22:54:53.907-07:00do you think they moved sideways?
