My daughter has seen in the past month on three different occasions what looks like a BARN owl in our tree at night when she closes the chicken coop. I haven't seen him for myself, but I did see one of these majestic Great Horned Owls last year sitting on a branch silhouetted by the moonlight one evening. It was absolutely mind-blowing - the beauty! Thanks for this post and thanks for your support for what I've been going through lately.
