Morning Glory

Spider's Web in Morning Sun

I love the early mornings of autumn, when the mist rises slowly off the hills, and the sunlight washes golden the dew-draped grasses in the pasture. The dogs and I were in the back field at sunrise today, watching the world reveal its morning glory:

Morning mist across the fields

Sunrise begins

A little brighter

Sadie watches the morning fog rise

Sadie and Charley in sun-washed grasses

Morning sun on dewey grasses

Flowers gone to seed

Belle and Sadie on hillside

Mushrooms nibbled by little critters

Morning sun on blackberries

Sunlight on baby apples!

(I didn't even know I had an apple tree in my pasture!)

Belle in sunlight

And this is a photo from this spring, but I just have to post it again - my all-time favourite picture of Belle in the morning sunlight:

I love the one of the spider's web and the one of the fog lifting!
